5) "Happiness policies for climate change mitigation: some proposals" in Piana, Innovative economics policies for climate change mitigation, nouvelle édition, à paraître.
How can climate change mitigation benefit from the research in psychology of happiness and happiness policies? This paper explores how to use policies aiming at improving happiness, and synergizing them with green policies to act against climate change.
The chapter is organized as follows: it starts with some of the basics of the psychology of happiness. Then it continues with some happiness policies that can help to mitigate climate change: happiness national account, policies in developed countries that both reduce consumption and increase happiness, green policies that increase happiness, and happiness policies for managing a fair transition of the labor market. Finally, it ends with some other happiness policies.
4) "Thinking economics from the psychology of happiness perspective" (26 décembre 2009/1er février 2010). En voici le résumé:
Research in psychology of happiness helps us in knowing ourselves better and leads to better happiness. How can economics benefit from the contribution of the psychology of happiness? In this paper, we will analyze the following: at what point happiness is important, why subjective measures of happiness are essential and how certain objective criteria can be legitimately used in the measurement of happiness. We also provide the possible aims of happiness economics, reasons why an approach using happiness economics is not enough in public policy, and what are the limits of a perspective focused only on happiness.
